Details: | Power Outlets with USB Charging Ports $14-$16, Desktop/Portable $20 Three products: We bought two for our bedroom, and they work nicely. This replaces a normal power outlet in your home with one that includes 2 USB charging ports. Rather than bulky adapters sticking out of the outlet, we like plugging USB devices directly into the wall outlet. The USB ports are positioned close to the power plugs, so you can only plug in non-bulky cords. Note: You must hire an electrician to replace your existing outlet, because non-experienced installers could cause electrical damage or personal injury. We have one in the living room, and love it. It plugs into any wall outlet, and sticks out by 2.5 inches. It turns the outlet into a 6 surge-protected power outlet with 2 USB charging ports. No electrician needed to install; it just plugs directly over your existing wall outlet. We bring one with us while traveling, and is super useful. While it is a bit bulky (8x6½x2 inches), it is very light at 1 pound and provides 4 USB charging ports and 2 surge-protected power ports. When traveling to hotels, AirBnB homes, and guest rooms, sometimes one power outlet is not enough to charge all our devices. I plug a laptop, a portable battery charger, 2 phones, and a tablet though this device which needs just one wall outlet. We have used other similar travel chargers, but found them either too heavy, unreliable/nondurable, or have too few USB charging ports or too little amperage (power output). |
