  • Lexar 32GB MicroSD Memory Card for $10. Normally about $18. MicroSD cards work in some portable devices, and not to be confused with SD cards used in cameras.
  • Netgear 5-Port Gigabit Switch, Software-Managed for $20. Normally $30. We use this Switch in a room that connects a couple Ethernet devices, and it works fairly well. It does have software to configure the router (QoS, port mirroring, cable diagnostics) which can be helpful when troubleshooting connection problems.
  • Asus 27" 1920x1080 Computer Monitor for $145. Normally about $200. A $20 Prepaid Card is available by mail-in rebate, when postmarked within 30 days from purchase, forms filled out, and the UPC cut out from the product box with scissors.
  • Asus RT-N12 Wifi Router for $18. Normally about $28. Cheap routers can handle only a small number of devices and limited bandwidth, so we do not recommend them for someone who uses the Internet a lot. However, as a range extender (a second router extending the range of your Wifi network, linked with an Ethernet cable), cheap routers work very well.
  • Netgear Wifi Range Extender for $19. Normally about $28. It is specifically designed to extend the range of your Wifi network in areas of the house where WIfi is weak. Plug an Ethernet cable into your main router during initial setup, then unplug the cable and plug the range extender onto a power outlet anywhere in the house. It creates a second SSID that your Wifi devices can connect to when not in range of your main router.
