OfficeDepot.com - Compaq Presario 15.6" Laptop $350 after rebate
Compaq Presario CQ61-410US 15.6" Laptop Computer for $380 with free shipping, and a $30 mail-in rebate is available. It's pretty cheap for a laptop, the downside being the CPU. Its CPU performs two times better than a Intel Atom processor found in netbooks, but about half that of a Core 2 Duo found in other laptops. It does come with Windows 7 64bit, 2GB memory, and a 250GB hard drive.

Servers are built a little tougher than desktop PC, and have better cooling. We worked with over 300 Dell Poweredge servers (towers and rackmounted systems) without any significant problems, except for 2 memory modules and 1 bad disk which went bad after a couple years, which is a very good track record over 5 years of using Dell servers.
