- HOT!
- iPhone extended battery for $20 (expired)
Energizer iPhone Extended Battery for $20 with free shipping.
We can vouch that it does extend the battery life of the iPhone by about 70% more, and very useful when traveling or in a place where charging the phone is not convenient.
Because it makes the iPhone a bit bulky and provides little actual protective shielding, this is probably not the kind of thing you want on your phone all the time.
However, the Energizer device can be charged by itself (without the phone), it can be extremely useful for people constantly on the go.
Keep one of these charged at home or at the office (or even better, buy two and keep one charged in both places).
If you have a meeting or need to run out and your phone is already low on battery, just grab the Energizer and it will recharge your phone.
If your phone's battery is at 20%, a fully charged Energizer can charge the phone to about 75% in a little over an hour.
Limit 3 per person.
This deal expires sometime tonight.
Most other stores sell it for around $45.

These are a slightly better version than the ones which were on sale at Amazon last weekend for $30.

- 7" Portable TV for $77
Viore 7" Portable LCD TV (PLC7V95) for $77 with free shipping.
It has a built-in digital tuner (ATSC), and includes a rechargeable battery, power adapter, tiny magnetic antenna, and remote control.
Most of the reviews are positive, and could be a good deal for someone who needs a small/portable TV.
The tiny antenna works okay, but would certainly work best if you're within 5 miles of the broadcast antennas.
It has a 1.5 hour battery life, so some people may find it useful at brief tailgate parties and picnics.
As for a backup TV in case of a power outage, 1.5 hours is really not much.
It also has a built-in USB port and Secure Digital card reader for playing digital photos (jpg), videos (divx), and music (mp3).
For $4 more, a Axion 7" Portable LCD TV is available.
It has a better antenna and similar battery, but doesn't play MP3 and video files from memory cards.
Casio Exilim EX-S12 Compact Digital Camera for $165 with coupon 24HRSALE217J .

- Western Digital 1TB Hard Drive & USB Docking Station for $79 (expired: price raised to $90)
Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB 5400rpm Serial-ATA Hard Drive for $79 with free shipping.
A great deal at $0.08 per GB.
Their combo also includes a free Rosewill USB-based Docking Station for Serial-ATA drives for free.
It's not rated as high as the BlacX, but still really nice to have free with an already great-priced hard drive.
If you don't care for a Hard Drive Docking Station, they also have a combo with Tuneup Utilities for Windows for $89 total with the drive.
That's a pretty good deal since the software usually sells for around $43 by itself.
Newegg.com
- BlacX USB/eSATA Hard Drive Docking Station $30 (expired: 2/15)
Thermaltake ST0005U BlacX USB & eSATA Docking Station for Serial-ATA Hard Drives for $30 with free shipping.
USB and eSATA cables included.
Allows you to plug in (and out) any Serial-ATA hard drive (2.5" or 3.5"), for storing, backing up, and archiving files.
This is really useful for people who need to transfer large amounts of data between locations and don't want to pay a premium for a portable drive, or for archiving old music, videos, and personal files onto hard drives.
Gone are the days of storing large amounts of cassette tapes of music, DVDs of movies & music files, and videotapes of home videos of the kids.
Since everything is digital these days, you can simply store (or backup) all your home movies, digital photos, and music files onto a Serial-ATA hard drive.
Eject the drive, place it into an anti-static bag, and keep it on the top shelf of your closet, a locked drawer, or in a safe for safe-keeping.
Re-insert the drive whenever you need those files again.
If you have a desktop computer, try to use the eSATA interface if you can.
Most desktop PC's have no eSATA port, but a Serial-ATA to eSATA bracket can be purchased for $7 after shipping fee, or this eSATA bracket (longer internal cables) from Newegg for $8 after standard shipping fee.
eSATA is much faster than USB when working with 3.5" drives.
USB transfers up to 22 MBytes/sec (about 70GB per hour).
eSATA transfers at about 40 to 85 MBytes/sec (depending on the speed of the drive), which is around 250GB per hour.
An entire 1TB drive can be transferred in about 4 hours with eSATA.
Hot-pluggable eSATA/Serial-ATA is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
A dual-drive one is also available for around $50 after shipping fee.

Newegg.com
- Garmin 265WT GPS for $167
Garmin 265WT GPS with lifetime traffic updates for $167 with free shipping.
Also includes a free GPS carrying case.
The traffic updates help plan a route to avoid delays, however it's important to note some non-traffic related drawbacks about GPSs:
they are meant to be used as a helper only.
Directions in urban areas, especially where there are dozens of possible routes to the same destination, are not always the best routes for you.
The GPS will often plan what it thinks is the shortest route, but may not know about traffic lights, vehicle restrictions, and other delays on surface roads versus highways/freeways.
When it gives you directions, zoom out and pan around the area to see if there may be better roads to take than the ones it recommends. Update (2/14):
The free carrying case is no longer available, but still a good deal at $167.
iLuv Remote Adapter for iPod/iPhone for $8 after shipping fee.
Looks like it gives volume up/down functionality to any headset/earphones, allowing you to use your own headphones instead of the ones that came with your iPod.
Newegg.com
- Garmin 285WT GPS for $120
Garmin 285WT GPS for $120 with free shipping, and includes a free GPS travel bag.
Most stores sell just the GPS for around $140.
This deal likely expires at around 8am EST Friday.
Newegg.com
- Blu-Ray Burner Drive for PC $135 (expired)
LG's desktop computer drive capable of 10x Blu-Ray BD-R burning, 2x BD-RE, 16x DVD, and 48x CD for $150 and coupon code BHDFEBTEN gives 10% off in the cart.
Most Blu-Ray burner drives cost at least $170.
25GB Blu-Ray BD-R discs are pretty expensive at about $1.50 to $4 per disc, and a 50GB BD-R disc costs as much as $50 per disc.
At these prices, using portable USB drives are much easier ways to store and transfer data than Blu-Ray discs, and using a device which can stream videos onto the TV bypassing a DVD/Blu-Ray player will cost less than burning movies onto Blu-Ray discs.
However if you really want to burn Blu-Ray discs, this is a great deal.
Newegg.com
- 15-pack 25GB BD-R Discs for $25
15-pack of Blu-Ray BD-R 25GB Discs for $25 with free shipping.
Pretty good deal at $1.67 per disc.
Other stores sell it for around double.

Newegg.com
- Trendnet Wireless Access Point for $25 (expired)
TrendNet TEW-637AP Wireless Access Point for wireless b/g/n.
It's an access point only, and still requires a router on your network.
It's designed to add or be an addition to your existing home network.
It says the device can do wireless-n up to 300 megabits, but we were only able to achieve up to 120 megabits from a laptop.
If you really want 300 megabits, you shouldn't expect to get that kind of reliable wireless performance from a $25 router.
However as a simple wireless access point, $25 is an amazing deal.
Run a wired ethernet cable to another part of your home, just hook one of these up, and your home wifi range will be extended.
Works great with wireless-g, but don't expect much out of wireless-n.
Patriot Xporter XT 16GB USB Flash Drive for $44, and a $10 mail-in
rebate
is available ($34 after rebate).
Highly rated, fast USB flash drive, although it's a little long.
If you're looking for a fast and very small USB flash drive, check out a Mushkin 16GB USB Flash Drive for $39, which sticks out only about 1.5 inches from the USB port on the computer.
Newegg.com
- D-Link Internet Security Device for $12
D-Link DSD-150 looks like an interesting network device, to help filter and protect computers from harmful websites and protect kids from content they shouldn't see.
Looks like a good deal since it usually costs around $70, however best to read the reviews before buying.
Reviewers love the content filtering feature to protect their kids from bad web content, but dislike the client web software for spam/spyware filtering.
Newegg.com
- BlacX Hard Drive Docking Station $23
Thermaltake BlacX USB Docking Station for Serial-ATA Hard Drives for $23 today only.
USB cable included.
Many large capacity Serial-ATA drives cost around $0.07 to $0.15 per GB (around $90 for a 1000 GB drive).
Laptop drives cost about double per GB.
This BlacX (like most USB devices) will copy files at about 22 MBytes/sec, about 1.2GB per minute, or about 70GB per hour.
If you plan to fill a 1TB (1000GB) hard drive, expect it to take around 13 hours.
If that is too slow and you do have a desktop PC, we strongly recommend looking into a BlacX eSATA hard drive docking station for $33 with free shipping from Chiefvalue.
eSATA cable included.
Optionally available is Western Digital Black 1TB drive as a bundle on that page for $90 more, a pretty good deal since that drive usually costs $100.
This BlacX has both USB and eSATA, and most stores usually sell this BlacX for at least $45.
Most desktop PC's have no eSATA port, but a Serial-ATA to eSATA bracket can be purchased for $7 after shipping fee, or this eSATA bracket (longer internal cables) from Newegg for $11 after shipping fee.
Depending on the drive, eSATA transfers at about 40 to 85 MBytes/sec, about 4GB per minute, or about 250GB per hour.
An entire 1TB drive can be transferred in about 4 hours.
Hot-pluggable eSATA/Serial-ATA is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux PCs.
Those speeds are based on regular 3.5" drives manufactured within the last 4 years.
Tiny laptop 2.5" drives perform about half to one-third these speeds.

- LG 47" LCD 1080p Wireless 120Hz HDTV $1030
LG 47LH85 47" Wireless 1080p 120Hz HDTV for $1000 plus $30 shipping.
Most stores sell it for at least $1200.
Connect your TV sources to a media box and place somewhere in the room, and it wirelesly transmits the video to the TV.
Only the power cable is needed to plug directly into the TV.
This is really designed with wall-mounting in mind.
Flat Space Heater for $48 with coupon HEAT2412 .
It says "wall mounted" in the title, but should read "wall mountable" since its flat design should work mounted on a wall, should you decide to do so.
It also has wheels to keep it on the floor.
AVG Internet Security for $20.
A pretty good deal since normal price is around $55.
Renewal price is unknown after the first year expires, but it's possible it could be $20 or $30.

Newegg.com
- Garmin 285WT GPS for $107 (expired)
Garmin Nuvi 285WT Portable/Vehicle GPS for $125 plus $2 shipping, and coupon 24HRSALE23D gives $20 off in the cart.
A pretty good since since every other store sells it for at least $125.
It includes a MSN traffic subscription for 9 months, afterward a fee applies to continue to receive traffic updates.
If you want lifetime traffic with the GPS, an older model Garmin Nuvi 255WT includes free lifetime traffic from Navteq and goes for $170 at BestBuy stores, or add $7 for home delivery.
Apparently MSN and Navteq get their traffic updates from the same source, so the traffic updates should be identical on the 255WT and the 285WT.
Newegg.com
- Sony Networked Blu-Ray Player for $145
Sony BDP-N460 Networked Blu-Ray Player for $145 with free shipping.

You can plug a wired ethernet cable from this player to your router, or buy a wireless adapter add-on to connect wirelessly to your wireless router.

Most of the reviews are positive, and could be a good deal for someone who plans to be away from a regular/home TV next Sunday but still wants to catch the Colts/Saints football game.

Newegg.com
- LG Blu-Ray Player for $100
LG BD270 Blu-Ray Player for $100 with free shipping.
This is the same player which was on sale at Newegg for $80 around Thanksgiving, but still a great deal at $100 since most stores sell it for around $125.
It does not hook up to the Internet and does not have BD-Live like some players do, but it a pretty good & simple Blu-Ray player and seems like a great value.
Sceptre 37" LCD 720p HDTV for $380 with free shipping code 24HRSALE12E .
Pretty good reviews on Newegg, however Sceptre is one of our least favorite brands of HDTVs.
Rosewill Memory Card Reader Drive for Desktop PC for $9.
Goes into a desktop computer's 3.5" drive bay, and plugs internally into a "USB Header" port on the motherboard.
If your computer case has USB port(s) on the front or top of the case, and if your motherboard has only one "USB Header" port, then you will need to unplug the USB ports in favor of this one.
Most motherboards have 2 USB Header ports, and this drive bay also gives you a USB port as well.
Philips 52" LCD 1080p 60Hz HDTV (52PFL3704D/F7) for $1030 after shipping fee.
LG 47" LCD Wireless 1080p 120Hz HDTV (47LH85) for $1500, and includes a $300 Newegg gift card.
Most stores sell it for at least $1500 without an available gift card.
This is a new kind of HDTV, designed for easy wall-mounting since you only need to plug in a power cord.
Place the included media box somewhere in the room, plug all the TV sources into the box (cable or satellite TV, Blu-Ray player, gaming system, etc)
and it wirelessly transmits an uncompressed 1080p signal to the TV.
Most reviews of this new kind of HDTV are positive.
Sony is also expected to release a similar wireless TV soon.
Keep in mind electricity is still needed for any HDTV, so wall-mounting may require an electrician to run a power outlet to that spot on the wall.
Gunnar Catalyst Shredder Digital Performance Eyewear for $70 with coupon EMCLMMR48 .
Other stores sell it for around $100.
We watched Gunnar grow from a small company selling their eyewear to gamers and computer users at trade shows, to selling their products through Newegg and Walmart.
Their "Digital Performance" eyewear are meant to reduce eyestrain when staring at a computer screen.
This model are not sunglasses, and can actually hurt your eyes if used outdoors, but can help ease the stress on your eyeballs when staring at a computer screen for long periods of time.
They do take a couple days to get used to, but otherwise they have great reviews.
Newegg.com
- iPhone extended battery for $22
Energizer iPhone Extended Battery for $20 plus $2 shipping.
We can vouch that it does almost double the battery life of an iPhone, and very useful when traveling where no iPhone chargers are nearby.
It is also nice to be able to detach the extended battery from the phone, allowing you charge just the battery while carrying the phone.
It also charges the phone and connects to a computer through a USB-Mini connection, which is a nice alternative when an iPod/iPhone cable is not handy.
Newegg.com
- Toshiba 32" LCD 720p HDTV for $350
Toshiba 32AV502R 32" LCD 720p HDTV for $350 with free shipping.
This is a great deal if you are looking for a 32" HDTV today.
BuyDig also sells it for the same price, and most other stores sell it for around $400.
HDTV prices are slowly falling, especially on 720p displays (because 1080p are in greater demand), so if you can wait a few weeks and don't think manufacturers will slow production of 32" 720p displays, you will likely save another $20 or $30 on a 32" HDTV.
Newegg.com
- Toshiba 42" 1080P LCD HDTV for $610
Toshiba 40RV525R 40" 1080p LCD HDTV for $610 after shipping fee.

Acer Revo Mini PC for $200.
Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor, 1GB memory, 160GB hard drive, Windows XP Home, VGA output to a monitor, HDMI output to an HDTV.

- BlacX Hard Drive Docking Station $23 (expired: 12/31)
BlacX Hard Drive Docking Station for $23 with free shipping, through tonight only.
After tonight, the price goes back up to over $35.
This is the BlacX which works through a USB connection and includes a USB cable (a different BlacX also has eSATA, but useful only for those who have eSATA).
It allows you to insert and remove any Serial-ATA hard drive (2.5" or 3.5") any time you want, allowing you to copy files betwee the drive and the computer.
So anytime you see a deal for a Serial-ATA hard drive on this site, that drive can be removable storage for you.
The BlacX can have many uses, such as:
for businesses and individuals who need to back up a lot of files, but burning DVDs are too slow and store too little.
for people who shoot home videos on digital video cameras and want to offload those large files off the computer.
for someone who amassed a large music/movie collection, and needs more storage.
buy one for home, one for the office, one at your friend's house, and one for the datacenter, then just bring a Serial-ATA hard drive with you to easilly transfer files between locations
Store your files on Serial-ATA drives, and keep those drives in a closet, safe, or drawer for safe keeping.
USB transfers files at about 22 MBytes/sec or about 80 GB/hour so while convenient, it does take a while to transfer files.
Western Digital Elements Portable 640GB USB Drive for $90 with coupon EMCMNPM47 .
If you haven't seen one of these drives, they are very small & portable, about 50% larger than an iPhone and power themselves through a single USB data cable (so no extra power cable needed to carry with it).

LG now makes two HDTVs which need no cables plugged into the TV except for power, making it easier for wall mounting.
This is the 55", they also make a 47".

reviews.

- D-Link DGL-4500 Wireless Gigabit Router for $125 (expired: 12/31)
D-Link DGL-4500 Xtreme-N Wireless Gaming Router with 4 Gigabit LAN Ports, 1 Gigabit WAN port, Wireless b/g/n on 2.4GHz frequency or Wireless a/n on 5GHz, up to 300 megabit wireless-N, and very good range.
Most stores sell this router for about $150.
It is labeled as a "gaming" router, which basically means it has built-in QoS (quality of service) for gaming apps, to improve their performance by using its processor to assign higher priority to those packets than regular browsing, email, and download packets.
In reality its processor improves all Internet performance, regardless whether you play games.
If you're looking for one of the best consumer routers on the market today, this may be it, if you are willing to pay the hefty price tag.
This router is really meant for someone with a very high speed home Internet connection, 5 megabit minimum, or at least 8 megabit downloads and at least 1 megabit uploads.
We used this router for over a year on a 20 megabit cable modem without any problems, and connect to it with Wireless-G at 54-megabits, Wireless-N at 300 megabits, and to wired computers at gigabit speeds.
If you do need a powerful Internet wired router but do not need wireless (like if you already have a wireless router or wireless access point), a D-Link DGL-4100 Router for $80 and has a $20 mail-in
rebate, lacks Wireless and no LED display, but otherwise is identical.
A router like this will not improve the speed of your PC, however.
It is normal for Windows computers to collect spyware and adware over time which slows down PCs, and it is best to occasionally inoculate your PC.
The place you bought your PC has anti-spyware software available, or download a free program like Spybot Search & Destroy or AVG Anti-Virus Free.
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Fan for $27.
Rated one of the best "after market" CPU fans for the new Intel 1366 1156, and 775 for the Core i7 and Core i5 CPUs.
Really only needed for someone who needs their CPU to run cooler than what the Intel fan (which came with the CPU) can provide.
Newegg.com
- D-Link DGL-4100 Gigabit Router for $60 after rebate
D-Link DGL-4100 Router with 4 Gigabit LAN and 1 Gigabit WAN port.
It does not support any wireless (wifi) so this is not a "wireless router"; It's meant for use on wired networks only.
The performance of this router is very good, probably one of the best consumer routers on the market.
If you already have a wireless router or a wireless access point, you can use that for wireless devices only, and use this DGL-4100 for Internet routing and firewalling.
If you do so, make sure to disable the DHCP server on the wireless router and change its IP address, so it does not conflict with this DGL-4100.
How To Find out Newegg's Delivery Time:
Newegg says "guaranteed 3-day delivery" when selecting UPS ground, but are you curious how long a Newegg order will really take to arrive before you place the order?
Here's how to find out, but be very careful not to click "submit order" when doing this!
Add an item to your cart, press "checkout".
Enter your credit card information, and press "continue"
On the final checkout page, be careful to not to accidentally click "submit order".
Look at the shipping method for "UPS Ground", and see the "estimated day delivery".
An example here.
Move away from that page before someone accidentally submits the order.
Easiest way is to press the "back" button on your browser.
This "estimated" delivery means how quickly the order will arrive.
This is based on which warehouse they ship the order from, and how long it takes UPS to deliver the order via Ground Shipping from that warehouse location.
In our example, we see a "1 day delivery", meaning the item will ship from a warehouse very near us, and takes UPS only 1 day to deliver it.
This is very useful to know when you need something quick, and don't feel like spending $20 for next-day delivery especially when free ground shipping will deliver it in 1 day.
If you need something from Newegg by Christmas, it may not be too late to get it by Thursday with UPS Ground.
If you too see "1 day delivery" on the final checkout page, orders placed by Wednesday morning will be delivered by Thursday afternoon.
Weather and other factors not at Newegg's fault may delay shipping until after Christmas, but UPS is usually very good at delivering packages on schedule.
Newegg usually ships orders same day only when placed in the morning.
