- BlacX Serial-ATA Drive Docking Station for $16 after rebate (expired)
Thermaltake BlacX USB Docking Station for Serial-ATA hard drives is back at $30 with free shipping, and a $20 mail-in rebate is available (enter Offer Code TRM-6160 at WorldwideRebates.com).
It usually sells for over $35 at most stores.
This device can be very handy for some people. It is a docking station for 2.5" and 3.5" Serial-ATA hard drives, plugs into a PC or Mac's USB port. Being able to slide in any Serial-ATA hard drive means you can create disks full of music, videos, pictures, and backups, then eject the drive and store it in a safe place. This is a great way to store lots of data without taking up precious room on your computer's drive. Hard drives are much easier to store data than burning DVDs, and being able to quickly slide in & out hard drives without rebooting the computer can be very handy for quickly accessing disks full of data. Update (3pm EST):
Shipping is no longer free, and now costs $6.
Still it is a great deal at $36, or $16 after rebate.
Few other stores sell it for under $25 after a rebate.
Updated title to $16 after rebate.
