| Details: | HDTV Wireless Extender for $78 LG AN-WL100W Wireless Media Kit sends a 1080p video signal wirelessly from a video source to an LG brand HDTV up to 50 feet away. Price is $200, code LSDA062411 applies $131 off in the cart, and add $10 for shipping. At $78, it's a hot deal. As you can see from the photos on Amazon.com, the bundle includes a transmitter box with plenty of HDTV video inputs, and a receiver box which rests behind your TV. Plug your cable box or HDTV source into the transmitter box, and your TV into the receiver. You will need a few wires, one to connect from the HDTV source to the transmitter, one for connecting the receiver to the TV. They say a 50-foot wireless range is supported, but we heard the range is calculated by line-of-sight (as in, the transmitter and receiver are in the same room), and the range drops considerably when passing through walls & cabinets. The reviews are mixed, though many reviewers paid over $200 for this device. If you plan on wall-mounting your TV and don't want HDMI or component video cables running along or through your wall, this device may be useful. |
