American Express's "Link Like Love" promotion currently lets you sync your American Express Card to get money back when shopping at some stores this holiday season. Does not work with business AmEx cards, but does work with any personal AmEx card including cards with an airline or store on the front.

When viewing the available offers, scroll to the bottom and click either "load more offers" or "more offers for you" to see the list. There are a lot of great deals, including
  • $25 statement credit when you spend $75+ at Amazon.com
  • $25 statement credit when you spend $250+ at Best Buy
  • $5 statement credit when you spend $25+ at Toys R Us
  • $15 statement credit when you spend $115+ at Costco.com (online only, not in-store)
  • $5 statement credit when you spend $30+ at a Exxon/Mobil gas station.
  • $5 statement credit when you spend $20+ at AMC movie theaters
  • $5 statement credit when you spend $15+ at a FedEx Office
  • $10 statement credit when you spend $50+ at Sprouts Farmers Market
  • $30 statement credit when you spend $150+ at West Elm
  • $10 statement credit when you spend $50+ at Kohl's
  • $10 statement credit when you spend $40+ at a PF Chang's restaurant
  • $30 statement credit when you spend $150+ at Amtrak. Could be useful during this holiday travel season.
You must first activate each promotion after syncing your American Express card. An account with either Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, or TripAdvisor is required. Follow the instructions on their site to activate each promotion onto your card. If you have already synced offers on your card, they will not appear here.

If you get an error that offers cannot be synced to your card, try unsyncing your card then re-syncing your card.

Each offer has a certain expiration date, however, if you buy gift cards, you can spend the money anytime (even after the promotions expire). For example,
  • After syncing the Costco.com offer, buy $125 worth of Costco Cash Cards (such as one $100 cash card and one $25 cash card) in a single transaction, then you will get a $15 credit on your next AmEx statement, and you can spend the Cash Cards anytime in-store, online, and at a Costco gas station.
  • After syncing the Amazon.com offer, buy a $75 Amazon.com gift card, then you will get a $25 credit on your next AmEx statement, and you can spend the $75 anytime.
To see the offers currently synced on your card, go to AmericanExpress.com, log in to your account, click "Account Home" on the upper-left, scroll to the bottom, and click "Offers For You", then click "My Offers."
