Today is the final day to get $10 off $30 when using Google Checkout at Buy.com (unless they decide to extend the promotion).

To get $10 off $30 on any Buy.com purchase:
  1. Add at least $30 worth of in-stock items in your cart at Buy.com. This will not work if any items within your cart are pre-order, backorder, or unavailable.
  2. View your cart, and remove any Buy.com coupons.
  3. Begin checkout (example).
  4. When asked to sign in, click "Google Checkout" (example).
  5. Sign in to your existing Google or Gmail account, or create a new one.
  6. A $10 off $30 coupon should automatically appear on the Google Checkout page. You can use any credit card to complete the purchase, and you can re-use this deal as many times as you want.
Buy.com sells lots of good electronics and movies at good prices. The trick is to find items which either come with free shipping (items marked with a ) or items which are eligible for free shipping with a $25 order (). You can no longer combine green-truck items with grey-truck items in a single order to get free shipping.

Good deals which qualify for $10 off $30 (purchase prices shown here after $10 Google Checkout discount): Be sure to compare their prices against other stores. Buy.com did raise the prices on most items under $50 store-wide, so some prices are just average after the $10 discount.

Also, some good TV Show DVD Deals are available, some of which have free shipping. Add at $30 to your cart, and get $10 off.

If you have just under $30 worth of "green truck" items in your cart and need just a few dollars more to qualify for free shipping, these are the cheapest items we can find which qualify for free shipping: There were some $3 items, but they recently removed the free shipping on them.

If you purchase an item with rebate from Buy.com using Google Checkout, submit the Buy.com purchase receipt to the rebate company. Most rebates require a sales receipt from the retailer (Buy.com). Even if Google sent you a sales receipt, Google acted as a third-party payment processor (similar to using Paypal with a purchase on Ebay), so rebate companies may not accept the Google Checkout receipt as proof of purchase. If you did not receive a sales receipt from Buy.com, do this:
  1. Go to Buy.com, and log out if you are already logged in.
  2. Click "My Account" in the upper-right.
  3. Click "Order Lookup" on the right side.
  4. Enter the 8-digit order number you received through email a few minutes after your Buy.com order (not the 11-digit order number received from Google). Also enter your Name and Phone Number where prompted.
  5. Next page will display the order details.
  6. Click on "View Receipt" and print it.
If you already submitted a rebate with the Google Checkout receipt, you could wait and see if your rebate is accepted, or call the rebate company now and see if they will accept the Google Checkout receipt as proof of purchase. They may ask you to fax or mail your Buy.com receipt to them.
