Some door locks have larger keypads, remote locking/unlocking, and other features. However, be sure to read the reviews of electric door locks before buying one. Some electric door locks have poor reliability and security. The moving parts can break unless the mechanisms are built well. Some can be easy for thieves to break with a paper clip, as shown in this video of a Yale lock. The Schlage does have mostly positive reviews, and until other more sophisticated electric door locks come into the mainstream, the Schlage brand seems to be one of the best today. |
