Details:Cyberpower 1500VA Pure Sine Wave UPS for $137
(expired)

(repost)

Cyberpower 1500VA (900-watt) Pure Sine Wave Battery Backup UPS for $137 with free shipping today. It usually sells for around $205.

In our opinion, this is one of the best consumer-grade battery backup/UPS devices for personal computers and networking equipment. This Cyberpower 1500VA Pure Sine Wave UPS almost always costs at least $200 and is only put on sale 2-3 times per year at prices under $165.

$137 is the best price we have seen.

It weighs 26 pounds, so the shipping cost alone is about $26.

1500VA means it can safely protect up to 900 watts of power, though we recommend only up to about 400 watts to give you at least 12 minutes of battery backup time. Ours has 375 watts running through it, and reports 16 minutes of battery time is available during a power outage.

This pure-sinewave UPS ensures the battery power will be as pure as possible, as shown in this video.

We have one protecting the power of an expensive file server with 9 hard drives and a desktop computer since December of 2011. We rarely have any power issues, but feel comfortable knowing our sensitive computers are protected. It is still going strong after 4.5 years.

UPSs not only protect against power surges and outages, but they also help prolong the life of your computers and hard drives. In our 20+ years of experience with computers, we found the likely cause of many system and hard drive failures can be traced to a power spike. If you have a computer that you spent a lot of money on, especially one with hard drives, we highly recommend protecting it with a reliable UPS. A reliable power supply can also help keep your hard drives running safely, but that may not be enough if a storm passes nearby and your electrical lines get a power spike.
