Details:Network Switches:
As many schools and offices remain closed, quality Internet has been essential in keeping schools and work functioning.

For those frustrated with unreliable home wifi, connecting Ethernet cables from the router may improve Internet speed. Some deals:

Switches. Like a power strip would give power outlets to plug things in, an Ethernet Switch splits one Ethernet port in the back of your existing Router into multiple ports: Cables.
  • Jadaol Cat-6 Cables are flat, bendable, lightweight, and hide well along floorboards and inside cable runners for keeping a more clean look than regular cables.
Nearly all laptop and desktop computers have an Ethernet port. Using wires instead of Wifi may give faster and more reliable Internet.

Rather than having a bunch of wires cluttering your desk, someone who owns a modern laptop/notebook computer with a Power Delivery USB-C or Thunderbolt port can combine Ethernet and power on a single plug. For example,
  • Uni USB-C Dock with Gigabit Ethernet port, HDMI, and USB ports for $40. Power this device with the USB-C power that came with your laptop, plug-in Ethernet to your Router or Switch, then simply connect the included USB-C cable to your laptop. The Uni Dock provides power and Ethernet over a single cable. And, this dock is one of the only sub-$100 ones with a detachable USB-C cable, so you replace the included 8-inch cable with a longer cable then hide the Uni dock off the desk to reduce clutter.
  • Many laptops with a 15-inch screen and smaller bought within the last year have USB-C power delivery, including a 13" MacBook Pro (2019), Dell XPS 13 and 15 with 10th generation processor, new Microsoft Surface, HP Spectre (13"), Nvidia Razer, and Lenovo's Thinkpad and Yoga laptops (many 14" and smaller, some 15"). Beware that even if your laptop has a USB-C port, if your laptop's power adapter plugs in to a port that is not USB-C, it is unlikely that power and Ethernet can be combined in a single cable.
