| Details: | Income Tax Return Filing Services: (repost) A good place to start is IRS.gov, where they have a list of certified E-File providers. Be very careful submitting personal information to any tax website not on their list. Also be sure you are visiting "IRS.GOV" (spelled exactly like that)and not some look-alike scam site. Some deals:
Also software available for purchase:
The software can print filled-out tax returns or file them online. TurboTax software charges $18 to e-file, and TaxCut charges $20 to e-file. Filing online also gives you a quicker refund, typically within 1-3 weeks if the return has no errors, as opposed to regular mail which can take 4-8 weeks. Someone who lived in a state which requires a state return will need to file one for each state they lived in 2007. States which do not have a income tax return requirement are: AK, FL, NV, SD, TN, TX, WY. Many people in the US are eligible for $300, $600, or even $1200 from a tax rebate this year. You need to file a Federal tax return to qualify for the rebate, even if you normally do not file a return. |
