If you sign up for a Chase Southwest Airlines Visa Card and get approved, pay a $69 annual fee, then charge at least $2,000 on purchases in the first 3 months, they will send you 50,000 Southwest Airlines point for free.

A $69 annual fee applies for the card. Your Southwest points never expire for as long as you are a member of this Chase card. If you cancel the card, your rewards points will expire when you stop flying Southwest over a 24 months period. So, if you do cancel the card and continue to fly Southwest and earn Southwest points, you should be able to keep your points until your Southwest Rewards account goes inactive.
