500-pack of Hammermill Paper. Pay $7.29 in-store, and they will send you a $7.28 Prepaid Card by Staples Easy Rebate.
  1. Print out a 1¢ Hammerbill Multipurpose Paper Ream Coupon.
  2. Walk into a Staples store, and find the Staples Ream of Multipurpose Paper with item number 122408 (it looks like this).
  3. At the checkout counter, the purchase price should be $7.29 when applying the coupon. If not, show them the coupon you printed.
  4. The register should print out a receipt with a long 17-digit number and barcode near the bottom. When you get home, go to StaplesEasyRebates.com, press "in-store purchase", and enter the 17-digit number printed your receipt.
  5. Submit the rebate entirely online (nothing to mail), wait 4-6 weeks, and they will send you a $7.28 Prepaid Card by mail.

These are great prices if you need more paper for your printers.

The Staples Easy Rebates usually come in about 6-7 weeks and must be spent within 3 months. Prepaid Cards can be annoying to carry and spend their exact amount at stores, so the best way to use them is send yourself a gift card. For example, you can add Amazon.com funds to your own account, and use your prepaid card to pay for the balance. That way, the funds are always there to spend without the hassle of finding your prepaid card when ready to purchase something.

Advisory: This deal requires the customer to mail in at least one rebate. Make sure that you save a copy of the rebate form immediately, just in case they take the rebate form offline. It is also recommended that you mail in the rebate immediately after receipt of the item, otherwise you might forget to do so. And you should mark the maximum date that your check is expected to arrive, so that you follow up with the company if you do not receive the check in time. Rebates can be annoying, time consuming, and require a responsible person to follow the tedious rebate instructions. And, this involves the possible risk of the customer fulfilling the rebate requirements but the company choosing not to send the customer a rebate check for any reason. The more well-known or reputable the company is (the company itself, not the company's products), the more likely it is that you will get your rebate. If the rebate is from a company that you've never heard of, of if you question the company's business practices, chances are high that you will never see a rebate check. Understand that dealing with rebates are risky, so ask yourself if the product is worth full price in case you never receive a rebate check.
