The Windows XP model has an XP Professional upgrade for $20 more, a very good deal. Our recommendation is to get Windows XP, unless you desire a specific feature unique to Vista. No monitor is included with this computer. Buying these components separately will cost more than $499. Purchasing an Intel Quad Core processor costs about $275 by itself, $100 for a 500GB hard drive, $50 for a motherboard, and $50 for 3GB of memory, already that prices to $475 before adding a case, power supply, and operating system. This computer is meant for mostly productivity and business use, since it cannot handle a very powerful 3D graphics card, such as a Geforce 8800 or 9800. |
