For individual American Express card members (not business card members).

Enroll by July 26 (this Sunday):
  1. Log-in to your American Express account by clicking "Enroll Now" on this page.
  2. Click "Add to Card" to the right of the "Spend $10+, get $5 back, up to 10 times when you Shop Small by 9/20/20"
  3. Find small businesses in your area that accept American Express.
  4. Make a $10+ purchase directly from the shop, and pay with your American Express card. In a couple days, a $5 credit will appear on your statement.
Works when purchasing anything from the shop, including a gift card, with a few things to remember:
  • Only works when payment is processed through the small business's own equipment or website. Works with ToastTab and Square payment processing.
  • Does not work if the shop uses a third-party service to process payment, such as Uber Eats, Amazon, Yahoo Shopping, or any centralized processing service.
