Excellent value
To get a 49" tv with 4K hd resolution for less than $290 is a steal! The tv has Ruko built in so this tv is great for cable cord cutters. I do use cable with Tivo box, so i did encounter few issues. The 1st one was for luck of more clearly written instructions. In order to use cable the user needs to select an input in the Ruko's menu, name it and use it as the first option.Once this option is selected the tv becomes a monitor and all functions will be controlled from the cable box (in my case the Tivo box) My second problem was with Tivo code sellecting to control TCL tv. the 2 codes that they give simply don't work. After a search on the net I found a code that does work 0091. My last issue is the realization that even with its higher resolution the picture is not much better than at 1080P res. still I can't complain since it cost as little as a simillar size tv without 4K res.Read full review

There are SO many channels (apps), the 4k & HDR are incredible with my Xbox One X, and very easy to use and quick interface & startup!!! Great sound too (I keep it on the bass setting)!

High quality at a low price
I was looking for some budget 4k TV for my kids bedroom. They mostly stream via Netflix and Amazon prime so I was thinking of getting a Roku device for each room. I was looking at similar Samsung model and ran into these so I bought 2. With the discount, it came out to $300 each, free shipping. A 49" 4K TV with Roku built-in for $300?? wow! I paired this with a Mounting Dream MD2413-MX wall mount and it was prefect. The setup was easy, wireless connection is seamless and watching some Netflix original series in HDR or 4K is just awesome. The picture is fantastic. The quality degrades when viewing at an angle but since it's a bedroom TV, it is always straight on with optimal viewing spot most of the time. I'm happy with the purchases, the kids love it and the ability to use your phone headphone jack to listen to TV is really cool. Overall a great TV for the price. I'm not sure the newer S517 model has any improvements except the higher price. These work really well in bedroom/kids room or secondary playroom.Read full review

Excellent TV!
This TV is a great price and excellent picture and sound. I was concerned that I may need speakers for it but the sound is great! I love the 3 hdmi ports and composite cable and coax cable too! It is great that you can control it. From the roku app too! The TV doesn't work well with aftermarket remotes but that can be remedied by having the TV automatically tune to cable by default. No complaints here!

Great TV
I own a few big dollar Samsung 4k TVs and needed something quick for my bedroom and took a chance in this TV and let me tell you you won’t find a better deal although the picture isn’t as good as my Samsung I’ll be honest and say there isn’t any major difference the HDR works great the colors are still very vibrant and clear the motion rate is spot on and being a Roku tv comes with clear advantages, I can watch Vudu movies in 4k which I actually can’t do yet on my Samsung curved tv the overall build quality is good and I’ve had no issues with this tv yet after a few months of hard use, I rarely write reviews but this TV just absolutely deserved one for the $330 I paid for the 50” I truly couldn’t of found a better value tv, my fiancé swears the picture is better than the Samsung which I don’t agree with but also shows to an everyday eye this tv is awesome and the picture speaks for itself if your thinking about buying this TV stop thinking and just buy it 👍🏻 I actually moved my PS4 pro to the bedroom to use on this TV and it handles gaming actually better than my $3000 Samsung 4k due to random stuttering with the motion rate on the Samsung and this TV doesn’t stutter whatsoeverRead full review
