Easy Antenna
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very light, not bulky, easy to install. Mounted mine on the roof peak outer edge. On a good clear day I can pick up Green Bay Wisconsin which is 120+ miles away from Zeeland, Michigan. Although it says that it is multidirectional you will still have to point it a bit for optimal reception. Lets see how well it holds up over the harsh winter.

Works good, Easy to install
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ran a Coax cable to a another room in the house. I mounted this in my attic. I drilled a hole in the garage ceiling and ran the USB cord that comes with it and plugged it into a USB outlet I installed to get power to the pre-Amplifier. The Antenna is a best buy exclusive and costs less than the MOHU SKY. So it provides good value.

works GREAT
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I - like so many others - decided to cut the cord and this looked like a great option. Installed it on the house facing East, about 20' above the ground, and used the existing "cable company" wires to run it into the house. I hooked it to a splitter and was able to get about 30 channels on every TV. However, within a week, the supplied amplifier went out (seems common according to other customers) and replaced with one that the "cable company" left behind. Everything works like it is supposed to and the picture is incredible. I never knew you could get a clear picture without cable - I was pleasantly surprised. Returned all of the cable boxes and my bill went from $200 down to $50 (I kept internet). Paired this up with a Channelmaster DVR+ on our primary TV and have DVR functions without a subscription!

Better than expected and I expected a lot!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had bought a Wineguard ultra-flat HD antenna for indoors, but it got 11 11-16 channels at most and they would flick off and on every few minutes (digital artifacts/freeze). I canned it (Returned to Costco) and then went searching for another replacement for outdoors. I had actually intended to buy the ClearStream 2V, but when I got to BestBuy this was the first thing I saw. I had seen reviews for it, but at 50% more than what I originally wanted to spend, I wasn't looking for it. Call it lazy, call it.... aesthetics, but once I saw how small it was and how simplistic installation would be... I pulled the trigger and bought it (In fact its just been two hours since I left BestBuy). BEST ANTENNA I'VE EVER OWNED. The two websites I went to, to predict how many channels I was capable of receiving for my zip code had me at 91 channels, but I most likely would have to select less than half of them based on direction of the broadcast towers around me (SF Bay Area). This thing is pulling in 107 channels (obviously some are duplicates vs SD and HD)! AMAZING. For a solid hour it hasn't lost any type of signal. Not any, small or tiny. Perfect. Just accept the price of admission and get on this ride.... its worth it! P.S. It "might" be because I used to install Satellite Dish service for a living, but I just eyeballed the J-pipe mount (didn't use my level) and stuck the flat side facing what I figured was a tiny bit west of north (the direction The main towers I wanted were in). True to its advertising on the box, it picked up everything in 360 degrees around me.

Good Antenna
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I re roofed my home and decided I wanted a less cumbersome Antenna, so i chose the smaller Mohu Sky 60 (I had a giant old school direction antenna). Installation was fairy simple, I get *most of my local channels (26 miles away) and picture quality is decent. I think an upgrade in cable quality would help me get the rest of my local channels, but I wont have time to find out until next spring. Good Antenna though.

works very well
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this antenna on sale. I think it was around $40. I dropped my overpriced cable tv bill a few years ago. This Mohu HDTV does a great gob of picking up my local channels. Free. Breaks up sometimes on windy or rainy days but otherwise it works great.

Q: Questionwhat is,if any the max distance you can run a cable from the antenna to the t.v.
Asked by plum.
- A:Answer You are only limited by the output of the amplifier you use. This is what an amplifier does. It does not get you receive extra signal, instead it ensures your tv receives the same signal as your antenna reiceves. As signals travel down any length of wire they loose strength. I have a clearstream c1 antenna (no amplifier) hooked into a rca preamplifier (17dbm gain) and run 100 ft of coxial just fine. If you use RG6 coxial, you will loose around 4-6db of signal per 100ft. So you need an amplifier over 6db. Also note that the tuner in your TV has a loss of around 8db. A two way splitter is a loss of 3.5db. So if you have a 2- way splitter and 100ft of cord, you will need an amplifier with a gain of around 17.5 db.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between the Mohu Air 60 and the Mohu Sky 60?
Asked by Chris.
- A:Answer The only difference between the Air 60 and the Sky 60 is that the Air 60 is made exclusively for Best Buy. That's also why the shape of the antenna head looks different. The performance of the antennas should be exactly the same.

Q: QuestionHow many channels will I be able to receive?I am wanting to replace my cable provider. I want to know how many channels I'll be able to receive ?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer It varies for every address. You can purchase a 60 mile antenna but if you live in an area with lots of hills and/or mountains your signal could be blocked partially or completely! We suggest that you google "what channels will I get with an antenna" and look for an address scan tool that will allow you to put your COMPLETE address in for analysis. Just because the box says XX mile range it is dependant on the line of sight to the towers, distance from the towers and placement of the antenna itself.

Q: QuestionWhen mounted outdoors, does the Mohu-Air 60 require an exterior electrical outlet?
Asked by JimH.
- A:Answer Not necessarily. The amplifier requires a USB connection or a connection to a regular power outlet. I mounted the antenna outside and connected the amplifier in the junction box where all the cables connect inside the master bedroom. The junction box inside the home already had a power outlet so it was a easy connect. I did not find that the amplifier was necessarily needed as the mounting of the antenna and pointing direction to the transmission towers really matter the most. I live 62 miles from the transmission towers in Los Angeles and I was able to pickup 131 local channels with and without the amplifier. No more ridiculous charges for free channels from the cable company. I tried three different antenna's before I found the one that worked best. The Mohu-Air 60 without question was the best antenna.

Q: QuestionHow to you connect this antenna to multiple TV's (4 or 5)?How to you connect this antenna to multiple TV's (4 or 5)?
Asked by Steve.
- A:Answer If your home has an existing coaxial network you can locate the hub, connect the Sky 60 and that will send signals to the other coax ports in your home. If your home is not "cable ready" you can purchase a splitter that will allow you to connect the Sky. Using the home's coaxial network is by far the easiest way if that is an option for you.

Q: QuestionWill a radiant barrier in the attic not allow me to pick up the channels? It there a way to add an additional amplifier to boost the signal if longer coax is needed?
Asked by Houston.
- A:Answer If a radiant barrier is present you would need to mount the antenna on the roof to get up and over that blockage. As long as you do not add more than an additional 50 feet of coaxial to the length that comes with the Air 60 you would not need additional amplification. If you find that you do you can add one amplifier to each television to boost the signal.

Q: QuestionIs there difference between Mohu Sky models MH110585 and MH110601? Also do storming weather, snow or windy condition affect signal strength and reception?
Asked by Mike.
- A:Answer There is no difference between the two antennas other than the product number. Different numbers are assigned for different retailers but the antennas are the same. Yes weather can affect over the air transmission similar to satellite reception. Reception can sometimes fade in and out and you may experience pixilation but mostly during very severe weather. It's all about the signals getting disrupted as they are traveling from the towers to your antenna.

Q: QuestionCan I use the Satellite dish wiring for the outdoor antenna?
Asked by Fitz.
- A:Answer Sure! Just inspect the wires and make sure they are in good condition. If the installer did a professional job, you should be good to go. Be careful adding additional spliters as you decrease the antennas signal.
