Boston is having its semi-annual Restaurant Week for the next two weeks, with some very good deals on some restaurants if you know where to look. The Restaurant Week menus offer:

2 Course Lunch for $15.10
3 Course Lunch for $20.10
3 Course Dinner for $33.10

These deals are available at participating restaurants.

Restaurant week meals all include an appetizer, main course, and dessert. When you sit down at a participating restaurant, you must request the Restaurant Week Menu with limited selections. Some menus can be seen online here.

Be careful when making a restaurant selection. A lot of restaurants on the list charge $33 for a dinner which would normally cost around the same price. Some places offer their $33 Restaurant Week meal discounted from their usual $50 to $60 per person. Some restaurants will also let you add a top shelf wine glass to your meal for $5 or $10 more. Examples of hot deals in Boston:

Icarus - Dinner normally costs $45+ per person, so $33 for a 3 course meal is very good. Wine adds $10 more.
Oishii in the South End - lunch only. Some of the best sushi in New England, and meals normally cost $30 to $60 per person for dinner.
Smith & Wollensky - great steaks in a castle. A 3-course lunch would normally cost around $30, and 3-course dinner around $50, so paying $20 for lunch or $33 for dinner is a hot deal. A glass of wine adds $10 more.
Fleming's Steakhouse - great steaks. A 3-course dinner normally costs around $50.
Davio's - very good pasta, great atmosphere, excellent service, but very limited Restaurant Week menu.
Top of the Hub - Lunch only, good food and best view of the city. Their pricey food tastes average at best, but $20 for a 3-course lunch is still a great deal for the view.
Sibling Rivalry - a fancy looking meal, great deal with lots of choices on their Restaurant Week menu. Their 3-course dinner would normally cost around $40 per person, so $33 is a decent deal.
Morton's - a fancy restaurant with incredible food, where a 3-course meal with a side dish usually costs $50 to $60. It's a steal at $33 per person, especially if you've never been there before. If you eat at the bar, a glass of wine adds $5.
Tangierino - great Moroccan food, good value for the price.

Peak times can get a little crowded especially on a Friday night, but customers who show up after 8pm for dinner and after 1pm for lunch should have no wait.

If you haven't heard of Groupon, it's a very useful website to try services in your area. There is only one deal per city daily (51 US cities available today, and London), and each deal usually expires at 11:59pm local time. Their deals are really good on most days, can only be found on their website, and could be a good way to try new stores and services in your area. For example, some cities recently offered 10 90-Minute Yoga Sessions for $24, and 2 months of workouts at a Crossfit Studio for $29. Here's how it works:

Buy the certificate. You are refunded if too few people buy into the deal, but usually they get more than enough buyers each day.
Wait 1 day to receive the certificate by email, and remember to redeem your certificate before its expiration date.
For deals which have a timeframe (ie, you get 1 month of workouts), you probably need to call them to set up your first appointment so they know when to expire your certificate.

Many deals can be redeemed within months or even a year after buying, so you don't have to do the deal right away. For example, if a deal is $25 for an oil change and interior car cleaning, buy it now and use it when your car needs a cleaning (but before the expiration date).
